Chief's Corner

Welcome!  By reviewing the material found here, I hope you will gain some insight into who we are and what we do.  Our dedicated staff takes great pride in the organization and the community we serve.

The Fire District comprises 15 full-time employees, including 12 line staff, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Administrative Support Specialist.

Depoe Bay Fire held a long history of volunteer and combination staffing, at times hosting upwards of 50 volunteer personnel.  However, with increased service demand, higher call volumes, strict training requirements, and a lack of affordable housing and essential services, volunteerism vanished with one final push from the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Our agency was forced to become the first all-career organization in the region.  With support from our public, we remain highly invested in maintaining this unique capacity.

Depoe Bay Fire continues to respond to the challenging needs of the public and our community.  The district provides all-risk emergency response to medical emergencies with Paramedics on board each engine company.  When not responding to calls for service, we maintain programs such as public education, training, fire prevention, and investigation.

If you would like additional information about the Depoe Bay Fire District and our services, please feel free to contact me at any time.
